Kayak and Paddle Board Rental
Discover Arenal Lake freely by kayaking or paddle board renting. Enjoy as much time as you like and savor the beauty of the like, its mountains and wildlife.
Arenal Lake was man-made in the 70s to provide hydroelectric power to the grid. You’ll depart close to the dam, although the energy production area is located nowhere near. This means you get a access to a quiet yet very scenic section of the lake in a narrow gulf that provides protection from strong winds.
This section limits with the Arenal Volcano National Park, so, with some luck, you can expect to see some animals by the lake side.
You can also reach our floating playground, where you can enjoy the slide, jump from the tower and sun bathe if you like.

Are the Arenal Volcano National Park tickets included?
No, they are not. However, if you’re planning to visit Arenal Volcano National Park, you might be interested in our Flexi Pass self-guided activity. It includes kayak or paddleboard rental, a boat ride to the Peninsula Trail within the National Park, time to explore the trail on your own, and later boat pickup. See more information here.
Can children participate?
Yes. We have children life jackets. Keep in mind that in this activity you are 100% responsible of your safety and the kid’s. It is best that all participants know how to swim.
What else is around?
Visit the Arenal Volcano National Park. Close to the Arenal Lake offers two sections, one by the lake, another at the base of the volcano.
A similar park is also nearby, Arenal 1968 Trail, this one has a restaurant you can visit and varios trails of different lengths.
