On this exploration, you will be led by one of our passionate naturalist guides who will be eager to share with you about the history, culture, and rich biodiversity of La Fortuna and its famous volcano. Through the knowledge of natural history and the spectacular views in the two destinations you will visit today, the Arenal Hanging Bridges and the La Fortuna Waterfall, the doors will be opened to the amazement and wonder of the rainforest. The imposing views of the Arenal Volcano from the hanging bridges over the forest make a perfect combination for an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary

This half-day combo tour is for visitors who love nature and like to learn about local culture, natural history, and enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery Costa Rica has to offer.

Your day will start at the Arenal Volcano Hanging Bridges, where you will be able to cross 15 hanging bridges with different lengths from 5 to 100 meters. The entire circuit involves a total of 3 km of trails in the tropical jungle. The walk is quite gentle as paved paths will lead you from one bridge to another. Rest assured that your safety is guaranteed at the suspension bridge park as it was designed with the most stringent safety margins executed in the world.

Accompanied by your expert natural history guide, you will immerse in the wonderful secrets of the rainforest and be able to witness different species of wildlife in the forest canopy, along the suspension bridges and on the forest floor before continuing with the second exploration of your day.

The incredible level of humidity of La Fortuna with more than 4000 ml of annual precipitation is what contributes greatly to the creation of the majestic La Fortuna Waterfall that stands at a height of 210 feet (64 meters). This adventure definitely requires a moderate walking condition, since a descent of 500 meters downhill is between the fascinating viewpoint at the top of the valley and the bottom of the river, where the "natural pools" will invite you for a refreshing swim to cool you off after all the exercise. After you mastered the return to the top of the La Fortuna Waterfall park we will get to enjoy a rich, traditional Costa Rican farm-to-table lunch to replenish body and soul after a memorable day outdoors exploring the area.
