Your day will start with one of the most unique ways to explore the wonders of Costa Rica’s natural world - on a safari float on the Peñas Blancas River which is a haven for biodiversity and wildlife sightings. Accompanied by your expert naturalist guide you will calmly maneuver down the river being on the lookout for exotic birds, white-faced capuchin, monkeys, sloths, river turtles, crocodiles, iguanas and many bird species. This safari float trip will allow you to experience places that can otherwise not be reached by car or horseback. The incredible level of humidity of La Fortuna with more than 4000 ml of annual precipitation is what contributes greatly to the creation of the majestic La Fortuna Waterfall that stands at a height of 210 feet (64 meters). This adventure definitely requires a moderate walking condition, since a descent of 500 meters downhill is between the fascinating viewpoint at the top of the valley and the bottom of the river, where the "natural pools" will invite you for a refreshing swim to cool you off after all the exercise.
